According to BBC Sport(http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/6285040.stm), Liverpool have put in a 10 million pound bid for Ryan Babel. It is still disputed as the whether Ajax have accepted this offer, and If were them I would never let this kid leave for any amount of money.
Babel is one of the hottest properties of European football at just 21 years of age. He can play either on the wing or as a striker, and he is very effective at both. Playing on the left wing, he can cut in on his right foot and produce shots, while he can also beat his man off the dribble. As a striker, he possesses the necessary qualities to be a front man and he has both power and pace and can win things in the air too. This would be a great acquisition for Liverpool and I for one am excited to the see if this kid can bring great things if he does come to Anfield.
